The Trump Tower Tampa development team has pledged a $100,000 donation to the Tampa Museum of Art Foundation.
TAMPA, FL - February 18, 2005 - The Trump Tower Tampa development team has pledged a $100,000 donation to the Tampa Museum of Art Foundation.
The announcement came during a private reception held Friday night to open the 52-story condominium tower's downtown Tampa sales center.
“The Tampa Museum of Art is a vital component of Tampa's culture,” said Frank Dagostino, a partner in the Donald J. Trump and SIMDAG LLC group that is developing Trump Tower Tampa with Donald J. Trump. “We are very optimistic about downtown's future, and we understand the importance of contributing to that future in ways beyond our new real estate development.”
The $100,000 donation will be made in three payments: the first immediately, the second at the Tower's topping-out and the third at the grand opening.
As a memento of Friday night's event, the development team provided one-year memberships to the estimated 700 sales center reception guests, many of whom have reserved residences in the building. Dagostino pointed out that those who currently belong to the Museum may transfer their gift memberships to others.
“This extremely generous gift will help support one of Tampa's truly great assets,” said Cornelia Corbett, chair of the Tampa Museum of Art board of trustees. “In addition, we welcome the new members to the Museum family and pledge to enrich their lives with great art and programs that are not only educational but uplifting. We are proud to be Trump Tower Tampa's neighbor.”
The donation was made by Donald J. Trump and SIMDAG, LLC, the tower's development partners; HomeBanc, the mortgage lender; Smith Barnes Santiesteban Architecture, Inc., the building's designer; and The Toni Everett Co., the real estate broker.
To be built on a 1.5-acre riverfront site in the city's central business district, Trump Tower Tampa will be the first Trump project on the Gulf of Mexico and, at 52 stories, the tallest residential building on the Gulf coast. It will offer 190 residences, priced from $700,000 to more than $6 million.
Amenities will include concierge and valet services, a conference room/business center, a party room with a catering kitchen and bar, a fitness center and spa, serviced suites for overnight guests, billiards and game rooms and state-of-the-art security services.
Completion is projected for 2007.
