Trump Tower Tampa had its genesis in 2003, when the four principals in the Florida west coast development firm of SIMDAG - RoBEL, LLC. purchased an office building and adjacent 1.5-acre lot on the downtown Tampa riverfront. Determined to do something significant with the vacant parcel, they commissioned a design for a 52-story condominium tower, taller and far more luxurious than any the market had seen before. It was a bold step, and the next was even bolder.

In 2004, SIMDAG - RoBEL, LLC. contacted the Trump Organization to explore a working relationship. The partnership was formed, establishing both a name and an assurance of quality that would set this residential property apart from all others on the Gulf Coast.
